For local and service businesses

Website design that books jobs, not compliments

Fast, owned by you, and built around how local customers actually decide.

Website design for a local business has one job: turn the person who landed on it into a call, a form, or a booking. Not a digital brochure. Not an art project that wins a design award and takes six seconds to load on a phone.

The same homepage on a phone, stacked to a single column.

Why it matters

Every other channel ends here.

Ads, the map pack, an AI answer naming you, a recommendation from a neighbour. Whatever brought someone to you, they all finish in the same place: your website. If it loses them, everything upstream was money spent on a near miss.

Slow sites lose people before they load

Google's own research puts mobile abandonment at over half once a page takes more than three seconds. Most of that visitor never saw your work, your reviews, or your phone number.

Most of your traffic is a thumb

Local searches happen on a phone, often standing in the problem. A desktop layout squeezed onto a small screen, with a phone number that isn't tappable, is the single most common thing we find.

A beautiful page with no next step

Plenty of local sites look fine and still convert badly, because nothing tells the visitor what to do next, and nothing on the page gives them a reason to trust you before they call.

What's included

What you actually get

Designed for the phone first

  • Thumb-reachable navigation and buttons
  • Tap-to-call everywhere it makes sense
  • Checked on real screen sizes, not just a laptop

Fast because of how it's built

  • Static pages that arrive ready, not assembled in the browser
  • Images sized and compressed properly
  • Scored in Lighthouse, then fixed until it's green

Built for search and for AI

  • Schema, clean URLs and a sane heading structure
  • One page per service and place, properly linked
  • Readable by crawlers and by AI assistants

Written to convert, not to fill space

  • Copy written from a real conversation with you
  • Reviews, guarantees and credentials placed where they land
  • Short forms, because every extra field costs you leads

Custom, not a template with your logo on it

  • Laid out around your services and your best margin work
  • Your photos, your area, your actual prices
  • Nothing your three nearest competitors also have

Yours, permanently

  • You own the domain, the hosting and the code
  • Plain files, so any developer can pick it up
  • If you leave, you leave with the whole site

The approach

Conversion beats flair for a local business.

Someone with a burst pipe is not browsing. They are on a phone, mildly panicking, with two other tabs open. The site that wins is the one that answers fastest and is easiest to act on.

01 — Answer

What you do, where, in seconds

Service, area and how to reach you, above the fold, without scrolling or guessing. Most local sites make you hunt for all three.

02 — Trust

Proof where the doubt is

Live ratings from your Google Business Profile, real photos of real work, and credentials sitting next to the button, not buried on an About page.

03 — Act

One obvious next step

Call, message or book, decided per page and repeated as they scroll. A page offering four equal options is a page offering none.

04 — Measure

Every enquiry traced back

Call tracking and form attribution wired in at launch, so you can tell which page and which channel produced the job. Not impressions.

How it works

Three stages, and you see it at every one

1

Discovery

We look at what you actually sell, which jobs you want more of, what your competitors' sites do badly, and where your current site loses people. Recorded, so the copy comes from your words rather than a form.

2

Design and copy

Layouts and words together, because a design with placeholder text is a guess. You see the real pages with the real copy, and we change them until you're happy before anything gets built.

3

Build, track, launch

Built as static pages, scored and fixed, with call tracking, analytics and Search Console wired in before it goes live. Then we watch what real visitors do and adjust.

The difference

What you get here, and what you usually get

With reperio

  • Static pages that load fast on a bad phone signal
  • Designed on the phone first, where your customers actually are
  • Schema, structure and speed handled at build, not bolted on later
  • Copy written from a recorded conversation with you
  • Call tracking and attribution live from day one
  • You own the domain, the hosting and the code

The usual build

  • A page builder loading megabytes of scripts before a word appears
  • A desktop design shrunk down and hoped for the best
  • SEO quoted separately, six months after launch
  • Filler copy about being passionate and family-run since 1998
  • No idea which page or channel produced a single call
  • Built in an account the agency owns, so leaving costs you the site

FAQ

Website design — the questions we get asked

How long does a website take to build?

Four to six weeks from kickoff to launch for a typical local business site. Design and copy take one to two weeks of that, and you sign those off before anything gets built. The main thing that stretches a timeline is waiting on photos, content or feedback, so we tell you up front exactly what we need from you.

What does a website cost?

It depends on how many pages and services you need, whether it is a new build or a rebuild, and how much of the content already exists. You get a fixed price after the discovery call, not an hourly rate that drifts. We would rather quote you accurately than quote you fast.

Do you write the content?

Yes, and it is included. We record a conversation with you and write from that, because the details that make a page worth reading — what a job actually costs, what goes wrong, why you do it a particular way — only ever come out of an actual conversation. You review and change every word.

Will it be built for SEO and AI search?

Both, from the start. Schema markup, a proper heading structure, clean URLs, a sitemap, and one page per service and location rather than everything crammed onto the homepage. Because the pages are static, crawlers and AI assistants get the full content immediately instead of having to run scripts to see it.

Can I update the site myself?

Honestly: not the way you would in a page builder, and that is the trade for the speed. What we do instead is set up the parts that genuinely change often — prices, opening hours, reviews, photos — so they are simple to edit, and handle the rest for you. If you would rather have full self-service editing, say so before we start and we will build it that way.

Do you redesign existing sites, or only build new ones?

Both. A rebuild is often the better value, because the content, the reviews and any rankings you already have can carry across instead of starting from zero. We map every existing URL to its new home so nothing you have earned in search gets dropped.

Who owns the site when it is finished?

You do — the domain, the hosting account and the code. It is plain HTML and CSS in a repository you own, so any developer can pick it up. There is no proprietary platform, no licence to keep paying, and nothing that stops working if you stop working with us.
